===== Move Seasonality to a new Mac ===== ==== Install Seasonality ===== First, determine if you’ve purchased Seasonality from the App Store or from the website. If you have a serial number, then you purchased from the website. Also, if Seasonality on your previous Mac has a License menu option from the Seasonality menu, then you have the website version. Otherwise, you’ve probably purchased from the Mac App Store. If you’ve purchased from the website (before 2010), download the latest version from the [[https://getseasonality/core/|Seasonality website]]. After you install the app on your new Mac, copy the serial number from your old Mac to your new one. To do this, open Seasonality on your old Mac, and then select the License menu item from the Seasonality menu. That should show the registration window with your serial number. Copy that serial number to the same window on your new Mac. If you’ve purchased from the Mac App Store, then open the App Store and check under your previous Purchases for Seasonality. You should be able to install it from there free. No serial numbers are required for the Mac App Store version. ==== Move Data ==== To move data Seasonality has saved to a new Mac, you’ll want to copy the Seasonality container directory to the new machine. Before starting, make sure Seasonality isn’t running on either Mac before doing the following. Switch to the Finder, and hold down the Option key on your keyboard while opening the Go menu at the top of the screen. Select the Library folder to open a new Finder window showing the contents of your Library folder. From there, navigate to the Containers folder and look for a folder named com.gauchosoft.seasonality (The full path should be ~/Library/Containers/com.gauchosoft.seasonality/). Copy that folder to the same location on your new Mac. Finally, before starting Seasonality again, reboot to ensure the Seasonality preferences don’t get overwritten by cached data.
