If you see a gray background instead of a visible map, you might be experiencing one of the following issues.

You may have a networking failure that is keeping you from downloading map tiles. To check if this is the case, visit https://maps.gauchosoft.com from your browser and check to make sure a welcome page loads. If the browser fails to load that website, then check your network settings to make sure you are properly connected to the internet.

Assuming you can access the maps website from your browser, you may be running Seasonality on a Mac that doesn't support 3D graphics to the extent that is required. Seasonality uses OpenGL to render the map, and sometimes if you run on an older Mac or from within a Virtual Machine, the map content will be missing. The only solution here is to use the app outside a Virtual Machine and on a newer Mac.
